Overview
Since our formation in 2003, we’ve been developing promising product candidates, across several disease areas, through commercially-focused investments.
We manage our business from the Winnersh head office, where our development team is based. Research takes place at our scientific facility in Cambridge. Across the two sites we employ some eighty staff. Highly-qualified executive leadership and experienced senior management support a development and research team of clinical experts, chemists, crystallographers, and other specialists.
Working with partners
Working independently
We complement strengths in pre-clinical and clinical development with significant expertise in both fragment-based and structure-based drug discovery. We are currently focused on eight drug candidates, all in different stages of development, primarily targeting conditions of the central nervous system and in oncology. We are positioned to minimise risk and maximise the value for investors through a broad pipeline of drug candidates, at varying stages of development.
New drug candidates enter the pipeline as a result of our own independent research, or through collaborative research programmes such as those with Servier and GSK. We take a similar approach in our development pipeline, where we work on certain candidates in our own right, and progress others through collaborations with major pharmaceutical companies, including Novartis. These high-level partnerships endorse our expertise, the evident potential of pipeline candidates we are able to identify, our focused management, and our strong financial position.
Ongoing royalties from frovatriptan, the migraine pain reliever we’ve successfully developed and brought to market, provide operating revenues which together with cash raised from two recent public financings provide a robust cash runway.
