Work begins on major extension to RiboTargets
10 April 2002
Work Begins on Major Extension to RiboTargets' Corporate Headquarters RiboTargets, a structure-based drug discovery company that develops novel anti-infective and anti-cancer therapeutics, announces that work has begun on doubling the capacity of its corporate headquarters on Granta Park, Cambridge.
Having outgrown its existing 25,000 sq.ft of purpose built offices and laboratories, RiboTargets has exercised the right to an adjacent plot of land allowing major expansion without relocation. The new building, with a capacity of 30,000 sq ft, is due for completion in September 2003. It will be joined to the original facility and has been designed to accommodate expansion of RiboTargets' chemical and biology laboratories
RiboTargets, the first tenant on the 84-acre research park, took residency in October 1999 and have since been joined by some of the industry's leading companies, including Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Cambridge Antibody Technology and Celltech R&D.
RiboTargets' CEO, Simon Sturge commented, "This substantial expansion to our facility will accommodate the company's growth for the foreseeable future."
