Summary
NVP-AUY922 is a novel Hsp90 inhibitor for the treatment of a range of cancers and is being developed by Novartis. It is the first compound from a collaboration with Novartis to enter clinical testing and is currently being evaluated in a Phase I programme in patients in solid tumours and haematological cancers. Vernalis will receive milestone payments, as it progresses through development and royalty payments upon commercialisation.
In addition to the intravenous agent NVP-AUY922, Novartis is also advancing an oral Hsp90 inhibitor through pre-clinical development as part of the collaboration on which Vernalis is also entitled to milestone payments and royalities.
