Interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 4 (IRAK4) is a serine-threonine protein kinase that plays a critical role in Toll-like receptor (TLR) signal transduction and innate immune responses. Dysregulation of TLR signalling is implicated in various cancers as well as playing a role in the inflammatory response. A number of companies have developed IRAK4 inhibitors which have entered clinical trials.
